Two-Point Perspective

We were asked to draw a two-point perspective of the projects assigned to us in M1. The perspective drawing could be drawn either from outside or from a particular point that we decided inside of the building. We could use the previously drawn plan, elevation and section drawings for reference to our perspective drawing. But we had to indicate the position of the PP (Picture Plane) on every reference drawing that we use.

Mock-Up Model I

We started producing the mock-ups of the conceptual model for our M1 project
in groups. These abstract conceptual models were expected to display our conceptual analysis or interpretations of the buildings assigned to us. Meaning that this conceptual model –different from conventional architectural models- was expected to present our interpretations of the building rather than being one-to-one representation of the building. So it will not only express its outstanding features in an interpretative manner, but also highlight certain spatial aspects and qualities it employs from inside out. We were expected to be experimental in the use of different materials and in discovering various model making techniques and tools.

Expressive Collage Section

We were asked to articulate the section drawings we have produced in AutoCAD to compose an expressive collage section that reflects our interpretation of the building’s spatial qualities or building’s relation with contextual features. The final image was going to have an expressive quality but the legibility of the section drawing should be present in the final collage section.
